| Fans of the game will enjoy this movie. Critics should be impressed by the scenery, effects and cinematography, but I fear that most of them miss the boat entirely. As far as a game to DVD film Silent Hill translation, this is one of the best ever made. There are scenes in the DVD movie Silent Hill are direct recreations of the game. Sounds, music, colors and even the meticulous art that pays homage to the series of games. To the extent that a horror film, there are scenes in this DivX Movie Silent Hill that are unmatched. Really disturbing, solid moments of horror. The head is the Pyramid of the decade the Pinhead. A new cultural icon that was feared and loved. Good movie. Keep an open mind and enjoy. This is one of those films that really deserves its R rating Do not take the children, unless you're in the "terrible parent" thing. |
| They''do not come any Sillian this''!!! What a waste of time! Well not cost me a penny to rent the DVD. I honestly expected at the end of this terrible, terrible, stupid movie! The people who produce such garbage should be ashamed of themselves! After the first 20 minutes or so I was starting to wonder if I was going to be able to balance through the last of this idiotic pseudo-horror movie. The basis of everything seemed totally bland and uninteresting. What is Sean Bean as an actor doing a Silent Hill Horror movie like this? I have seen in much better roles and films that a comedian! Silent Hill also should have been a Silent Hill Horror film since Silence dialog is very insignificant and silly. |
| Silent Hill is based on a popular survival-horror video game of the same title (the games are very sweet and scary). When the film: Silent Hill first came out, I was just interested. I thought the Silent Hill movie was big suck. Well, now that I have finally seen the movie, I can confirm that it really does not suck, but it's so fun. The script is not going nowhere and the characters were very boring. And I mean REALLY bored (even weird purple guy). But! The creatures were fantastic and I saw my love of strange images. The concierge, Red Pyramid (known to us as fans Silent Hill Pyramid Head) and the Child Gray, among others, are amazing! Also, I liked the sets. Definitely not to the extent that they go down the horror. Silent Hill is not a masterpiece, but it is a very funny Silent Hill Horror movie sense (I mean that seriously) fun. | By definition, any film: Silent Hill version of a PC game that sticks as close to the pitch as the Silent Hill Horror film looks set to miss the vicarious thrill when a player enjoys playing the game. Viewing this DivX film Silent Hill has to be pretty much like sitting next to someone who does not know while playing the game. The stunning images of the ghost town shrouded in a haze of white ash from the fires that have burned beneath it for thirty years just to keep you interested for so long, and once the action is below ground, the endless succession of shots of a brave mother Radha Mitchell running around the corridors of darkness outside the vaguely defined as a ghost looking for her daughter grows tedious quickly. Character development is nonexistent - which, again, is fine with a game, because you are the hero, but it is a death Knell for any DVD film Silent Hill - and, as it did in the dark, Sean Bean, once again, plays most useless characters. Completely passive, adding nothing to the plot, and serves only to provide an occasional change of scene from the dark streets of Silent Hill, is totally redundant. The guy must really be desperate to break the U.S. market to accept a role like this. I do not remember Bean and Mitchell, who play husband and wife, sharing a single scene, so you can imagine the chemistry exists Beans Mitchell could probably pass on the street without knowing who she is. |
