| I wanted to see this movie: Cape Fear for quite some time and finally saw me and thought it was great. I am a big fan of Martin Scorsese, and I would have to say this is one of his most faithful to the film's life, although its not his best film. The acting is great and so is the music. The Cape Fear movie was sent through his body trembles. This is also one of the most underrated performances DeNiro and deserves more attention at the time of its release. Also its great to see some of the actors from the original version in cameo roles. If you love horror movies and thrillers, you will most likely enjoy this. *** 1 / 2 of ****. | Robert De Niro is one of those actors that is based only on paper. Acting as a rapist, convict, and not all-around a very good friend Max Cady is without doubt one of the most memorable of his endurance, strength, and excessive. Scorsece Martin's film: Cape Fear is a remake of the classic Cape Fear movie starring Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum. Scorsece while maintaining intact the spirit of the film, which makes some very modern. Changing the role of Sam Bowden and family harmony to a dysfunction. Character is not the epitome of a universal good, rather poor (very poor) goodness. Nick Nolte has a good job as Bowden and Jessica Lange and Juliette Lewis are deep, emotional performances. The Cape Fear Drama film is actually a sea of emotion ... more than the thrill of being scared. Scorsece added some touches of art with the camera, but his gritty style that really dominates the impact of the film. Scorsece is always the protector of the DVD film Cape Fear as he gives cameos to Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum and Martin Balsam (all in the original movie). The other will act standout Joe Don Baker hired as a private investigator. But make no mistake .... This is De Niro's Cape Fear movie all the way. He has some of the best lines that besets the Bowden family, terrorizes the Bowden family, and strips of the Bowden family of all civility, demands, and dignity. This Cape Fear Drama movie is definitely a keeper! |
| A recently released rapist stalks the lawyer that he unjustly in this poor man "Cape Fear, because the characteristics that can even rival the first one in the least. Robert DeNiro, who is usually a very capable actor and plays Max Cady clownish and over the top any true suspense evaporates like so much cigarette smoke Robert Mitchum was a much Cady. Same with Nick Nolte is slippery, but not so full of original Gregory Peck as Sam Bowden. Not even me Juliette started in "Willing to go down as the director I have absolutely no talent whatsoever 'Lewis. The only thing this version has in its favor is that there is more of a reason to want revenge against Max Cady Sam Bowden in the present, but that is not enough to overlook that this version is much lower. Especially when this version has no soul or any other emotion then the hatred and cruelty, no matter what gloss and slickness of the Cape Fear Drama film can polish that can be ultimately overcome. Not a bad DivX Movie Cape Fear (the end is so), just pales in large measure to the original. | Cape Fear (1991) Top 10 - 1990 Scorsese can never go wrong. In saying this, does not necessarily mean that all of his films are masterpieces (although most are), but has not done a bad movie. Scorsese makes the new De Niro as a psychotic rapist out of prison to terrorize the lawyer and his family put him in jail. We have been deprived of this wonderful director - actor combination for 11 years and hopefully that will soon see under De Niro Scorsese one direction. Anyway, Cape Fear is not one of those films that are capable of the "masterpieces, or even classical, but it's a hell of a thriller. A pleasant experience with a great cast (and a performance worthy of Oscar Juliette Lewis). This is a finely tuned thriller that is also very worrying too. 7.5/10 |
