Rannulph Junnah is the best golfer in Savannah. He's living well and has a girl, Adele Invergordon, who's the daughter of a wealthy landowner. The First World War starts, though, and Junnah goes to Europe to fight. The only survivor of a dangerous mission, Junnah doesn't return to Savannah for 15 years. In 1930, he returns, and Adele's father has already committed suicide during the Depression. Pressured by tax collectors to sell the golf course her father built to pay off debts, Adele, now older, vows to bring to Savannah the greatest match ever played on the greatest golf course, her late father's. She's able to round up the 2 greatest golfers of their time, Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen to play for $10,000. The townspeople insist on having 'one of their own' compete also, and Rannulph Junnah is rounded up. Junnah now hangs out with bums and is an alcoholic, as he has lost his authentic swing from 15 years ago. At first he turns down the offer. He gets his old clubs and balls and starts practicing. He has lost his ability. Suddenly, Bagger Vance shows up. He offers to be Junnahs's caddy and help him regain his 'authentic swing'. He does, and Junnah agrees to play in the big match.

A pleasant, tender DVD movie Legend of Bagger Vance, The in the hands of writer / director Robert Redford. Matt Damon is the first man in this film, a former golfer who brushes his talent in the past, while Will Smith plays a guardian angel support type of character that led him to wonder. It seems that at this stage of his career, is better as an actor (as in 'Made in America', 'Six degrees of separation "and" Enemy of the State "), and needs to learn from their experience more contemporary like Matt Damon way to maintain public interest in a movie. Smith plays a convincing old with the name 'bagger Vance "Damon aid in the process of regaining the confidence to win a golf tournament. It is almost an appearance in an independent film: Legend of Bagger Vance, The that does not belong to Matt Damon or Robert Redford. It is a Legend of Bagger Vance, The Romance movie that is by itself.

One of the best movies I have ever seen. You want to see this with your loved ones, and then make sure to discuss with friends - a great teaching tool, if held in the right hands. Try not to preach or moralize, but only some people can enjoy the 'feel good' qualities, which are many! Watch, enjoy and spread the word. Your friends will appreciate it! I find it truly amazing that the good conduct of directors looks good for such stellar performances of the actors are chosen. I think you will find the role of bagger Vance Will Smith by a great change of pace for him, and one that carries great. The only complaint I could find with this Legend of Bagger Vance, The Romance movie was the omission of Jack Lemmon in the credits. I think this was his last role? (great news for lovers of trivia, if your right!)

I think I'm actually in the "win through adversity" movies. I really enjoyed films like "The Natural" and "The Legend of bagger Vance". I think the two were about equal. Both show the hero overcoming adversity through a golden age of sport that is what makes this great movie. If you showed a golf course or baseball today the Legend of Bagger Vance, The Romance movie would not be credible because he did not play for the love of the game, but for the money. This was a time when the game was more dignified. Never though much of Will Smith, the thought of him almost as a kind of comedic actor, but I think his greatness, his most successful when I started making these kinds of theater productions. Smith is great in his roll. If Redford had a mental picture of bagger Vance before the DVD film Legend of Bagger Vance, The began, I think he actually saw Will Smith performs in this film. Matt Damon was also good. Overall, a great "feel good" movie. 9 / 10

Michael Moncrief cast as Hardy Greaves (through whose eyes the story is told), plus large Redford address, and adds to a wonderful hot movie. While this is a story about golf and golfers, is a history, even those who "hate" can be identified with the golf ... is about the life and triumph over adversity. The late Jack Lemmon, as the elderly Hardy Greaves sets the stage at the beginning, and the DVD film Legend of Bagger Vance, The never loses focus. This is not an action movie. It is a thinking, feeling, the allegory of life. It is a good film, I feel it is safe for the whole family and one that is worth two hours of his life experience.

He seems to be aimless and in desperate need of guidance. It is from here that faith has an important role in the film. Numerous references to God in the narrative, and this may be linked to the perception bagger something like an angel.
