I wish the DVD movie Celestine Prophecy, The could have been as detailed as the book. Since you can not, I think not as good as it could represent the idea and ideas. For a Celestine Prophecy, The Adventure movie that could easily get preachy or cheesy I was impressed with just one point from two of cheese and no preachiness. The film: Celestine Prophecy, The is more than entertainment. It is a vehicle for ideas that hold true for many. Acing the time was much better than expected and the only time that management is expected to be out of the editing issue. The cinematography is excellent and showed the beauty of the location shoots! I just wish it was longer and had more in-depth views on the ideas. Now I'm going to read my book! Peace!
My dear Lord, what a movie! Let's talk about the "special effects" in the first place. I am not wrong here, I am not a fan of these effects, but I was thinking that it was an overlay of the practice has long past, mainly from the 60s. So for some time thought that this DVD film Celestine Prophecy, The could have been recorded long ago and it took forever to cut and release. But I know they had cell phones in the 60s ... What I'm looking mainly in the movies is a good story with a good message. Acting is secondary, the secondary effects are not yet a few inconsistencies. However, in films such as poor performance, incredibility, etc. are added to make a bad movie: Celestine Prophecy, The even worse - that's what happened for me with the Celestine Prophecy. My wife said the book was really very good and although I am not at all spiritual things that I can see some way that can be accomplished through a credible way - the DVD movie Celestine Prophecy, The did not. There could be one reason to see this well. If you really love cheesy movies that will be right for you. IMDb stars if the quality instead of cheesiness I have rated this movie: Celestine Prophecy, The ten stars. Indeed, there are three stars by the fact that there are worse movies out there, like "critical mass" (search the comments that one - hilarious). The Celestine Prophecy, at least, is entertaining to some extent.
Bingo is a game, is a shit name. The screen has rarely been spotted with a hodgepodge of half-blowing furnace conspiracy theories, Puritan prudery and new-age gibberish. Most of the story is set in Viciente, Cristian appeal in the Peruvian jungle. Rivendell Tolkien Think Star Trek meets the Baku planet, inhabited by a dimwitted followers not so mysterious, but surprisingly narrow-minded religion of love and peace. Thanks to the horrible acting and tacky production design (the rainbow-colored display of the mysterious all-healing "energy" is particularly awful), "The Celestine Prophecies" looks and feels like a discarded 1980 "Twilight Zone" episode. Factual errors regarding the history of the Church and nomenclature abound. I can not believe Hector Elizondo agreed to be part of this. Perhaps it was done without his consent, Bowfinger style. May God have mercy on the director, screenwriter, author of the novel, and the poor souls who see the Celestine Prophecy, The movie or read the book.
He was 10 years ago when I found the book and not by chance, it literally fell on the turn. He was one of the best books he read. That said I waited years for the Celestine Prophecy, The Adventure with high expectations. I ordered the DVD as soon as available and eagerly watched it with friends. Unfortunately, the movie: Celestine Prophecy, The failed in many aspects! As the Celestine Prophecy, The film progressed I found myself pausing the DVD film Celestine Prophecy, The often to explain to those who had not read the book what was going on. The DivX film Celestine Prophecy, The seemed to skim quickly through some of the ideas without adequate explanation that caused me to lose track in the knowledge that is being debated in the film. All the characters portrayed and I felt well-acted, but it leaves a crowded dash. I think this should have been in a mini series for television that would maximize the sound development and explanation of ideas. Not bad, if you have read the book ... but if you do not have to forget!
This Celestine Prophecy, The Adventure fails to capture the mystery and intrigue that the book offers. The main point of the book, ideas are not even touched, leaving the viewer wondering why everyone is making a big deal about them and why they are willing to risk their lives. Character development is not good at all. No background or personal development and leaves the audience not caring at all about what happens to them, and so the action sequences fall flat. The search for manuscripts ends abruptly and with no explanation, leaving no sense of satisfaction as to what the whole search is for. This is one of the worst adaptations of a book I have ever seen. It is terrible and a waste of time. If you have not read the book, skip the DVD film Celestine Prophecy, The and read it. If you've read the book, skip the DivX Movie Celestine Prophecy, The and read it. It's almost as if the point of making the Celestine Prophecy, The Adventure film was to discredit the book, which is wrong and how this Celestine Prophecy, The Adventure is ridiculous. It is a pity, because it might have been nice to have taken that at the height of its success and which would probably have been able to get a good writer and some good actors. Please do not waste your time, READ THE BOOK!
I have read the Celestine Prophecy book and hopes to see the film. Be warned that the Celestine Prophecy, The Adventure is inspired by the book. Many of the books most interesting points come out even in the film. This is a "B" at best the film. Many events, characters, how the character to interact and meet in the book are changed, or simply do not occur. The flow of events in the book are very soft, minced and fed to the hearing as a child. Character development is very poor. Personnallities of the characters other than those listed in the book. The location is similar to a "B" horror movie. I understand that it would take six hours in the DivX film Celestine Prophecy, The to present what is in the book, but the screen play based lost many points. The casting was very good.
Boring. Minimum plot. No character development. I went to this DivX Movie Celestine Prophecy, The with high expectations of the book. It could have been a great movie. Probably could have become a cult classic. No, it was a giant let down. Was poorly cast and horrible special effects. It is difficult to determine who are the bad: the rebels or the military or the church or all of them? Leaves me perplexed for some mini-plots of the film. I was dumbfounded as to certain aspects of the "prophecy", which is never really explained FULLY. I felt like I was watching an episode of a tawdry mini-series on the SciFi channel. Seemed like a done-for-TV movie. Do not go see this movie. It is a waste of time and money.
