| I loved this movie. It's rare to get an idea of post-partum in Vietnam, and this DVD movie Jacknife without combat and thrilling scenes of bombs and gunfire, it did. I had no idea that there were so affected by it. What is amazing to see how foreign Veterinarians. It is hard to see, quite frankly. We all understand the struggle and Apocalypse Now kind of theater, but that was so different. What happens when I get back and try to live a life? Can not. It made me very aware of a large group of men who were lost rattling around in America. Can not relate, can not sleep, can not have loving relationships, they can not cope with "normal society". They are completely separate. This is a huge tragedy, and that is not addressed sufficiently. Yes, we have changed our attitude on Vietnam Vets, we like now, but so what? Does not appear to have made any difference to them. It is too late? So it was a great movie, but I cried a lot. I have no other criticism. |
| Jacknife is a masterpiece of the 80s. It is a movie: Jacknife that breathes through an incredible action and contact address very interesting. Jacknife while lovers of European cinema and American can find things that relate. The script is very convincing and full of wonderful characters. Ed Harris is giving one of the biggest shows to date. He describes his hero alcoholic feel great doing your broken heart in every line, every move. Robert De Niro once again makes us think of him as one of the greatest actors of all time in one of the simplest but also most realistic action in his career. Jacknife is never boring, and their heroes to get any clear indication of typical Hollywood character elements. After the war is not a hero. Everyone is a loser, and this DivX film Jacknife is about that simple truth. No one can repair their pieces after a war, like the heroes of this film. Jacknife is on diseases of the soul that war causes. Simply magnificent film. |
| I saw on cable in the early 90s and loved it. Never saw him again until he appeared on the wire again recently. Find a great DivX film Jacknife in Vietnam. Not sure why its not rated higher. I found everything about this DVD film Jacknife compelling. As a vet (not from Vietnam) that may relate to the situations presented by both Harris and De Niro. I can only imagine that this movie: Jacknife is more poignant now with our situation in Iraq. I wish that to be offered by the cable more often so people can see. The human cost of our soldiers will not remain on the battlefield. That brought it home for the rest of my life there. And this Jacknife Drama is one of many to take home in a very difficult path. Excellent movie. |
