Manny is the 'boss' of the convicts in an Alaskan high security prison. Renken, the heartless prison's administrator wants to kill him, so Manny escapes with the help of another young prisoner, Buck, who follows him. The two fugitives manage to get to a rail depot and get onboard a train. The problem is, the engineer has died and the the train is totally out of control, and nothing can stop it. So, leaving the prison, Manny and Buck find themselves aboard something that is both their freedom and their death...

This Runaway Train Thriller film is just brilliant. The Mannheimer Oscar has to be one of the most moviecharacters of Alltime. I love the mental Voight turns on numerous occasions, he's doing a hell of a job. Perhaps his best role. Eric Roberts is almost as brilliant in portraying Buck. I find myself laughing at many times during this movie. It is not only fun, but it is also a thriller and a bit of action. 10 of 10. I Say Yeah!

Manny and Buck have broken out of prison and are stored in a four-car locomotive in Alaska. Problem is that the engineer died of a heart attack as the train was leaving the station and fell - so now they are alone in this train, careening through the desert more than 80 miles per hour, without any form of stop. Sound like fun to you? It is a rare action DivX Movie Runaway Train that primarily takes place in one location (the train). But it is surprisingly suspense, too, as officials of the rail (do not know their stowaways) try to find ways to stop the unstoppable car (shades of "The Taking of Pelham One Two Three"). Jon Voight plays Manny, the experienced jailbreak, Grizzle, ornery, obnoxious, but revered by his fellow prisoners. Eric Roberts plays Buck, a young, cocky, tough Manny dimwitted guy who respects and looks to him as the voice of reason. Also thrown into the mix is Sara (Rebecca De Mornay), a railroad worker who was taking a catnap when the train began its journey rampant. How these three people to leave the train? How, indeed! You know, for a DivX Movie Runaway Train taking place in a train, a lot of gut-wrenching scenes, and there is hardly a dull moment or apathetic. Problem is that not really know because of that, and there are end points of the DVD movie Runaway Train where the characters change drastically, an accident insurance of a hectic dash. But hey, why object? If you are looking for an unusual action movie, here it is!
