| Peter (Steve Zahn) is always treated (though not enough) to be as good as his father, the documentary filmmaker, who used to organize a program about animals in the jungle. But Peter is lazy, incoherent, and half the time and Stoner, but not to follow the show ... which is entitled "Strange Wilderness." But when Peter learns Network Television executive Ed Lawson (Jeff Garlin) wants to cancel its program, because there is always more and the show is stupid too. But Peter Lawson gives a last chance to save his show, if done seriously. When Peter discovers "Bigfoot" is actually his father, old friends (Joe Don Baker), but only seen in South America. Now Peter and his documentary crew (Allen Covert, Johan Hill, Justin Long, Kevin Heffernan, Ashley Scott, Peter Dante) go with Peter to find out if it really exists, but that has all sorts of problems along the way. Directed by Fred Wolf (The House Bunny) made a watchable but occasionally funny comedy that has some great gags. The cast made this Strange Wilderness Comedy movie worth seeing at least ... once. But the screenplay by Peter Gaulke and director (Ice Age: The Meltdown, Black Knight, Say it is not so) has some major problems. A Happy Madison production by i is indeed much better to wait. "Strange Wilderness" is definitely a lame comedy, but you may find a smile while watching this mess and is likely to laugh a few times too. Panavision. (** ½/*****). |
| This is my review of Strange Wilderness, and the plot is when his father dies, Peter Gaulke inherits "Strange Wilderness," dad's TV show about animals. After ratings drop precipitously, and the show is canceled, we see a long flashback to see its demise. The study shows a head two weeks more. An old friend brings a story about Bigfoot in Ecuador, so a long road trip takes place with stops along the way and enough problems,'s misjudgment, and deaths to sink a less intrepid band. Peter's team faces competition from a better funded and more practiced rivals. Bigfoot who is in first place and they get it on tape and save the show? Pedro can make dad proud? Its very funny in parts, but some of those were stupid joked. Its good for a couple of laughs so its OK to go home with a DVD and threw a laugh. RATING: 5.9 / 10 |
| Very uplifting and randomly hilarious movie. It's definitely not an A + in that the plot goes, (not uncommon in the genre of comedy), however, the funny one liners, notably Justin Long (the guy who looked OK) in this DivX film Strange Wilderness Stoner has a perfect brain death, chance and humor, which requires above average sense of humor, but I am laughing out loud throughout the film, is more than enough to classify this movie: Strange Wilderness as an "I'm very happy having seen this movie: Strange Wilderness .. . film. : D. Heres a list of comedies I like. perhaps we have similar tastes. Anchor Man, Napoleon Dynamite (sort of), Billy Madison, Jay and Silent Bob strike back, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Bio Dome, Knocked Up etc |
| Superba I loved and accepted. Steve Zahn is usually hilarious. However, I can not believe I lost almost 2 hours of my life in this film! The only fun parts are the voice-over, many of which had already seen in trailers. I was tempted to get up and leave in the middle, well, to be honest - the first 20 minutes of this movie. I fought my way through the DVD movie Strange Wilderness instead. If someone offered me $ 100 for sitting through this Strange Wilderness Comedy movie again, I would have to turn down. Seriously, this is one of the worst movies I've attended and I honestly think I have done more stupid looking. Please save your money and your brain cells! |
