Director Robert Zemeckis on Beowulf is more live action digital Sci-Fi fantasy. Very visual, with intense violence and 'simulated' sexual sequences. Why not high school English literature this exciting? If you happen to be a Beowulf purist this Beowulf Adventure may cause some agony. King Hrothgar (Anthony Hopkins) and his people and the great mead hall is being terrorized by the horrific monster Grendel (Crispin Glover). Hrothgar puts the word to anyone with a strong army to come with his own band of soldiers to battle the monster. It is the most powerful warrior of all, Beowulf (Ray Winstone) and his group of soldiers to the rescue. The acclaimed hero destroyed the demon Grendel and provokes the wrath of the monster's serpentine sexy and seductive mother (Angelina Jolie). The battle echo through the ages, immortalizing the memory and the name of Beowulf. Superior eye candy.
