John LeCarre's spy thriller is brought to the big screen. A British spy (Pierce Brosnan) is banished to Panama after having an affair with an ambassador's mistress. Once there he makes connection with a local tailor (Geoffrey Rush) with a nefarious past and connections to all of the top political and gangster figures in Panama. The tailor also has a wife (Jamie Lee Curtis), who works for the Panamanian president and a huge debt. The mission is to learn what the President intends to do with the Panama Canal. But what the two do is concoct a tremendous fictional tale about former mercenaries who are ready to topple the current government and are willing to work with Britain and the US to do so.

This actor is so bright that recalls Alec Guinness, to sink into their roles so well in this Tailor of Panama, The Thriller movie and the merger with the character, every inch of parenting fussy with other programs as in the side and a secret past. I do not care for Jamie Lee Curtis performances usually believe that their fragile without depth, but here it shines with a light sense of humor and a feminist consciousness and loyalty that brings a real authenticity to the role. marriage portrayed here is very credible, many nuances and charm fussilly tends to twist the hair of her daughter and ensure that children go to school on time. Enter Pierce Brosnan, who portrays a terrible cad here. You can tell he enjoys the opportunity to play a real unsophisticate, preying on any woman who crosses his path. I will not give away the plot that revolves largely as "Our Man in Havana" another wonderful film. Some of the functions are prettier for Hollywoodland, Marta and silence is more tragic that she should be, too Jamie Lee soignée and elegant. In 7 out of 10. John Boorman never lets me down.
There are no heroes or villains in "The Tailor of Panama", only victims and exploiters. Some may be turned off by the cynical tone of the film. For example, Andy Osnard, the British secret agent, played by Pierce Brosnan (who else?) Is a scheming sociopath, not a patriotic hero. The title character, Harry Pendel, played by Geoffrey Rush, is a liar and an ex-convict. Do not be discouraged by these character flaws, however. In the grand tradition of John LeCarre characters, these deviant, selfish people are endlessly interesting - and believable. I suspect that those who did not like this Tailor of Panama, The film reacted as they did because of the lack of heroes and as a result of the machinations which are sadly grotesque. However, this is the thinking of the spy movie. Highly recommended, 8 out of 10.
Spoilers here. Sometimes the soul of a book is simply the story, and that at least gives the DivX film Tailor of Panama, The adapter to get something. But most of the books not only give good value in the production of a narrative, but the production of a narrative that is quite difficult to translate onto film. The writer moved here into new territory for him, a maturity that reflects an understanding of their own limitations. Le Carre books are lies well done - good story, or at least good enough to sell books. But it is honest and smart enough to get bored with that, so here explores the debilitating pull the reader: the story has to be ever more exciting and full support of the psychology of conspiracy. Congratulations to him for putting himself and Ludlam in perspective. Pity that the point is largely lost in this Tailor of Panama, The Thriller that plays more or less straight. Rush plays the same role with the same objectives much better in `Quills." You have some talent for this type of dual function in the narrative and the creation of narrative. He is not my favorite for this (and Winslet are Penn) but definitely worth seeing when he is consistent. In this case, it is not. Curtis simply not so, and that is quite deadly. Brosnan does not have to do better if you do not. Cruz could probably get by on the natural conscience of South America to this effect (although it is European).
Opening with a shot of the MI6 building in London, with Pierce Brosnan looking along the Thames, I thought the error had been done. Ie put Brosnan in a DVD movie Tailor of Panama, The of espionage is not James Bond, and then hit too close to the image of Bond. But my first impressions are wrong from the start, with a fine performance Brosnan as Bond's alter-ego Andy Osnard, unreliable and a bit agent sent to Panama to cool off after a series of botched cases. It was a risk for both Brosnan to play Bond so close to the genre, and the director Boorman to cast Brosnan, but has not paid well. Boorman, even encourages us to compare the two light taps with many reference 007 - the opening shot, the way Osnard Sidlo to girls, and there is a good line in which one compares the extent of their clients "Mr. Connery . In fact, much of the building in Osnard Fleming, one might even say that in the current Tailor of Panama, The Thriller movie incarnation. Nature and gender aside, however, this is an adult game of espionage thriller that shares little with the action / adventure Bond. That slows toward the middle, but enjoying his role Brosnan, Geoffrey Rush get his teeth into another eccentric part, and the strong support of Brendon Gleeson and Jamie Lee Curtis, there's plenty happening on the screen to forgive a little here and boredom there. Boorman is also much mileage in the town and its troubled history, turning what could have been a mediocre output in at least a different kind of Tailor of Panama, The movie espionage.
This DivX film Tailor of Panama, The is probably one of the best arguments ever made against the peace espianoge. LeCarre satire is so strong because it is very realistic. Geoffrey Rush is brilliant as always and Pierce Brosnan has never been a better performance. Brendan Gleeson, star of Boorman latest masterpiece, The General, has a nice supporting role. Very cynical, very funny.
The combined efforts of Geoffrey Rush and Pierce Brosnan on the ability to act together with the management skills of John Boorman and John le Carré is scary talent as a writer of spy fiction, that the measure of Panama one of the best of all times, and best of this century. Harry Pendel (Geoffrey Rush), to royalty, is one of many members of the Panamanian Society of height, and a proud partner and Braithwate Pendel. At least that is the man his friends know. Harry is the nephew of a British, a former prisoner by his uncle Benny the insurance scam, thousands of dollars in debt, and against his will, a spy for Her Majesty. Andrew Osnard (Pierce Brosnan) is MI6's man in Panama, and the messenger of the death of Harry and lived a lie. In exchange for the money Harry has to provide information. Unfortunately, the old promise of drunken, one-time revolutionaries alone is not enough. So, using his inherited "fluidity" and "Rock of the eyes," as his uncle, Benny said, creates a stream of lies, but the boys back home ownership, and Harry has to choose between Panama, or good name. Also starring Jamie Lee Curtis, outside counsel and Jurassic Park, this DVD movie Tailor of Panama, The is a modern classic, both in print and on film. WATCH IT !!!!!!
