| I saw this Long Riders, The movie for the first time last night, and I am completely amazed! When you think about the fact that it was in 1980, is formed before it is time. The special effects are amazing and so real. The fight scenes are incredible and do not want to take your eyes off the screen for fear that you will miss something great! And what a brilliant idea of issuing all the real-life brothers who play those roles. I grew up watching these actors, and I think his performance in that Long Riders, The Western is the best performance from each of them has ever had. I am extremely impressed and can now say that "The Long Riders" is one of my favorite movies of all time. I will recommend this Long Riders, The Western movie to anyone and everyone! |
| Attention is paid to the exceptional cast of this film, but what attracted me was the music. I was a mountain and bluegrass music and performer for decades, and was told before the movie: Long Riders, The was released to listen to music. Not only is it very precise period in terms of how they play and what instruments, dance, but has not yet been "hollywood-das." There are some really real "flat foot" to "Jack of Diamonds" which is a rural area south of the dance that not many people in Hollywood to recognize - a kind of background in dance porch, or (dare I say) " obstruction. This is one of those films as "Jeremiah Johnson" and "Oh Brother", where it is worth the price of admission just to listen very closely reflected the period of music. Music played a vital role in the lives of men and women of the West and South in this period of time, and there was no radio, so it was all done live, either in churches or (more secular) to dance, and that reflects the film. Hollywood is "Old West" and "South" music so often bad this DivX film Long Riders, The is notable for the contrast. |
| In Missouri, after the civil war, young James gang and rob banks and trains, and are pursued by the Pinkertons. This DVD movie Long Riders, The is very different from West, showing the outlaws as human beings who have families, parenting. Walter Hill uses Carredine, and Quaid brothers Keach in real life for former gang members and is a major attraction in this film. The music, composed and arranged by Ry Cooder, perfectly fits the story. However, the characters are well developed, perhaps due to the amount of players as opposed to managing time and the story loses its explanation of the reasons for the behavior of the bandits while robbing be cruel and very close their families who are good kids, husbands and friends. Anyway, the performance of the cast is excellent and the DVD film Long Riders, The does not disappoint. My vote is seven. Title (Brazil): "Cavalgada two outlaws' (Paseo de la prohibits") |
| Certainly the West is not my favorite DVD film Long Riders, The genre, which is partly why I like this Long Riders, The Western movie so much, in my opinion, is unique in several respects. For starters, none of the usual Western icons are present, it seems refreshing. No man who is not "hero," none of the usual "good guys" fighting "bad guys" scenario. Another notable feature is the only soundtrack (slide guitar, and traditional songs), which makes a pleasant change to the usual mandatory western orchestral soundtrack. This DivX Movie Long Riders, The is short and sweet and never drags on or off in a romantic subplot. The slow movement of the option to shoot scenes was a wise choice and it adds a lot of effects. Even a "minor" details like the gray dusters used by all members of the band serves to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the film. Northfield ambush and escape sequence near the end of the Long Riders, The movie is convincing and I am again watching the scene on several occasions that when I watch the movie. And finally, I like the actors David and Keith Carradine, and James and Stacy Keach. |
| The origins, exploits and the ultimate fate of the Jesse James gang is told in a sympathetic portrayal of the bank robbers made up of brothers who begin their legendary bank because of revenge attacks. It is a very nice western.Hill 's visual approach is that the arrest was in The Warriors, and his penchant for shooting the shooting in slow motion with lots of tomato sauce peak.Maybe Peckinpah remember flying in his character development and complexity ignore the plot in favor of lots of action.But that is offset by the casting of real life and landscape brothers.The shootings soared very beautifully.Few dialogues, but poetic. |
