It is the year 1250 B.C. during the late Bronze age. Two emerging nations begin to clash after Paris, the Trojan prince, convinces Helen, Queen of Sparta, to leave her husband Menelaus, and sail with him back to Troy. After Menelaus finds out that his wife was taken by the Trojans, he asks his brother Agamemnom to help him get her back. Agamemnon sees this as an opportunity for power. So they set off with 1,000 ships holding 50,000 Greeks to Troy. With the help of Achilles, the Greeks are able to fight the never before defeated Trojans. But they come to a stop by Hector, Prince of Troy. The whole movie shows their battle struggles, and the foreshadowing of fate in this remake by Wolfgang Petersen of Homer's 'The Iliad.'

The film: Troy is the best so far for 2004, and I suspect it will be until the end. The fight between Achilles and Hector is one of those who long remembered and the music is well written for the film. Despite being a good DivX film Troy I would like to add some historical facts that are distorted in the script. Achilles was an immortal son of an ancient goddess and had a weak hand in his heel. Paris with an arrow killed after Achilles killed Hector and not in Troy. The siege lasted 10 years and can not manage time. Agamemnon was murdered by his wife when he returned to Greece to sacrifice his daughter before the war to the gods in order to blow wind and leave the Greek ship port. The story of his death, is another famous ancient Greek theater. Helen finally was forced to follow Paris to Troy and not love him as Homer. Although there are many uncertainties over the director did an excellent job with the costumes, ships and the environment. It is a great Troy film to see, but not to learn the historical facts as Homer says. Strongly suggest that people who saw the Troy film and liked to buy the real story in a book.

Troy. the DVD film Troy I waited so long to see, and let me say that enjoyed all three times I saw it.Now particular, there were some things I found strange about this movie. For example. How in the world did Achilli (Pitt), cut a head of solid gold statues? Not only that right, nobody does that.Also the script was not so true! Are treated as we do today, it was just something missing. Now I thought the cast did a good job. Brad Pitt was very emotional and you really have thought the same. That really has a good presence on screen. he did a very good job. Eric Bana, now there is a good actor who was great in the fight scenes, emotional, and just over all a nice touch-TROY to do even better. I hope to see you again. But I say the best acting award goes to Orlando Bloom (Paris). Not having much work to be done with the best of it. He knows how to act. I saw the passion between Paris and Helen, it is difficult to act. Orlando, obviously, was a part of his character was creepy and thorns, and for being so sweet guy who really played so well. ORLI Go! But Diane Kruger just totally killed the movie, you have to stick to putting on make-up, but for a first timer that was okay I guess. ie, most everything they say TROY got 8 out of ten stars ... Go rent January 4! I know it !!!!!
