In Colombia just after the Great War, an old man falls from a ladder; dying, he professes great love for his wife. After the funeral, a man calls on the widow - she dismisses him angrily. "Love in the Time of Cholera" is a true classic of the Nobel Prize Gabriel García Márquez. Film "Love in the Time of Cholera" from director Mike Newell is not and never will be a classic movie. Newell wanted to remain faithful to the book, but he does not realize he had to make an interesting DVD film Love in the Time of Cholera for those who never read the book and those who have read the book. I have never read this book and I found this DivX Movie Love in the Time of Cholera boring and long and really bad acting by some actors. For those who read the book perhaps some may say positive things about this movie. Casting director of this movie: Love in the Time of Cholera made some big mistakes. Benjamin Bratt is always the same, acted terrible Javier Bardem and Giovanna Mezzogiorno tried but could not carry this Love in the Time of Cholera Romance on his back. Second thing that bothered me was that the entire Love in the Time of Cholera film was done in English. I rather prefer not to bad Spanish and English accent (at the same time we can hear Spanish-speaking agents, but our main characters!). There are some beautiful scenes of countryside and Shakira's songs are not bad, but this movie: Love in the Time of Cholera lacks magic. Magic book that is likely, so this became the DivX film Love in the Time of Cholera that can be easily lost and not regret later.
