This DVD film It's a Free World... reflects one of the many flaws of capitalism, which portrays a very sad situation of the desperate struggle that some people have all day to earn money. In this case, follows the exploitation of foreign workers who arrived in England (London) in desperate search of work, and the lengths that will make money. The central character (Angie) Kierston Wareing played by someone else is a recruiting agent for a vibrant and ambitious women often take no for an answer, she has a certain charm and cheek that is accurate and shows a certain level of goodness but also has a dark side that has no problem in showing the people. His friend and flatmate (Rose) is played by Juliet Ellis as the most rational mind and frankly kinder person who relapses which sometimes is not always the money. An inevitable touch of faith comes by Angie, which is placed in the position of victim, but this change your view on life? Is very well managed, which shows the display of boring and bleak industrial and caravan parks in London that really suits the story and the feeling of depression script. Ken Loach and Paul Laverty done a great job with this movie: It's a Free World... and like most movies Loachs is a surprising and overwhelming depression has to be found in the working class of England. |
This It's a Free World... Drama film is given added impetus by their realism. Performance, and those situations are so real that it seems all the characters played by men and women in their lives, rather than professional actors. Ken Loach is limited to establishing the problem and offers no solution (which probably does not even exist), the big problem is the poor people enter the United Kingdom, exploitation and hunger of a payment that many British people think the problem his country is seeking a better life. The lead actress is shown as a very negative, but memorable character, and each situation is viewed from the angle, that of a girl trying to redeem itself in such a negative manner. In general the It's a Free World... film is excellent for its fullness and realistic role for (Angie's father as well). |
I often feel like a It's a Free World... film that somehow weakens ten examination and arguments, but in my humble opinion this latest work of Ken Loach on the ground is absolutely! The most welcome is the nuance and subtlety. Nothing is black and white, the characters are complex and sometimes show a total disregard for humanity and empathy to play elsewhere, making a strong point of the complexity of the situation at hand. The plot is relatively simple, but the small exchanges between characters that seem to carry much irrelevant to the humanity of the film. Kierston hesitation as Angie is absolutely gorgeous and every other "stakeholders" (professional or not) is in the field. A moving, honest, brave still depressing masterpiece! |
