The Roman Empire is stretched across many nations, including Britain. In their conquest for more land, the Romans went into Sarmatia where they fought the very brave Sarmatian cavalery. The Romans, impressed by the Sarmatian's weaponery and fighting skills, included them into their army as knights. After 15 years of serving and fighting for the Roman Empire the Sarmatian Knights, lead by Arthur/Artorious Castus, are about to receive their freedom as the Romans are leaving Britain. But the Knights must carry out one final order before they are free. A Roman priest and his family, especially his son Alecto, must be rescued from the invading Saxons. But there is another danger lurking on the road to freedom - the Woads, British rebels who hate the Romans.

King Arthur with a Roman knight who still have his "Morte d'Arthur names even though they come from Iran to do small-scale heroic in a field somewhere in England. The three people who saw what happened, obviously led us to the story of a thousand years later. Small-scale, low-budget, badly acted, completely anachronistic and unconvincing in everything we tried to show. Arthur was deplorable. He simply could not decide if it was in "Excalibur" or "Gladiator", so we had this strange Latinos in general remained out with hilarious monologues that has no relation to the rest of the script of the DVD movie King Arthur at all. The last intervention on the hill had me in stitches. Merlin was a kind of mystique that seemed to deteriorate significantly in the sky and do a hell of a lot more. His band also vaguely resembled a kind of shambling Neanderthals instead of normal Saxon guerrillas. One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I have been a great King Arthur fan since the night I sat in an empty theater in my hometown, impressed by John Boorman Excalibur. Since then I have seen the legend of King Arthur maimed in such films as First Gentleman and the mists of Avalon. My great hope for the film, King Arthur, were dashed before the King Arthur Action even opened in theaters, the King Arthur film critics who advanced panoramic projections. So I stayed outside, while in most theaters and finally approved at special discounts in the week that was released on DVD. Finally, after moving to rent a copy, I am left with just one burning question - Why in the hell do I listen to DivX Movie King Arthur critics? King Arthur DVD movie King Arthur has it all - a close and well-written story, credible characters, gritty realism, a great musical score by Hans Zimmer, epic battles, and more blood spatter and probably what you really wanted to see. The conclusion is that King Arthur is a very good movie. No, not the legendary Camelot, but do not try to be. Nor, is trampling all over the name of King Arthur, making it a shallow or less heroic character. This is not Braveheart or Gladiator, but it is a DivX Movie King Arthur worth seeing and appreciating. Come to think it's worth buying a copy to add to its library of video.

I am a retired archaeologist and scholar of ancient history, especially in Britain. In my opinion, this DivX film King Arthur portrays the actual settings that may have been, as well as the historical background of 'Arthur' and mythically warriors before being re-created by the French, the English writer Cretien, Mallory. Historically, it would have been a Roman / British family, and although not mentioned by name in the text after the first historians Gildas and Nennius, there are mysterious "advice" in his writings of "Dux Bellorum 'being named at this time in the 5th C. CE. I have always enjoyed the legends and the neat and tidy fairy tale versions were wonderful when I was a child, but now I'm older, like to see more realistic version of my favorite stories, and King Arthur is one of them . Although historically minded friends have pointed out some historical errors, I found enough with my basic knowledge of the time and I think that was accurate enough for the average viewer. I liked that the time was that the basis of the legend may have come. The romance was played in, but even this, which I appreciated. The traditional triangle among Arthur, Guinevere and Lancelot is suggested, but never a major point of the plot, which in turn I liked.
