Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Egon Spengler are three scientists at Columbia University in New York City. When their grant expires, the guys are fired and they go into business as a ghost extermination company called 'Ghostbusters'. Their first customer is orchestra cello player Dana Barrett, who was scared out of her apartment on the 22nd floor of a high rise apartment building on Central Park West. It seems that Dana's neighbor, Louis Tully, is also being affected by the strange happenings in the apartment building. Armed with proton guns, the Ghostbusters become wildly popular, and they are joined by Winston Zeddmore, who is looking for a job with good pay. Overzealous Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) agent Walter Peck thinks the Ghostbusters are frauds, and he has the Ghostbusters put in jail. Peck is forced to believe the Ghostbusters when New York City is put under siege by an ancient Sumerian God named Gozer the Gozerian, who is channeled through the apartment building that Dana and Louis live in, and the mayor has no choice but to let the Ghostbusters out of jail to face Gozer.

all I can say is that this DVD film Ghost Busters is impeccable can remember when this film: Ghost Busters first rental i was only 4 and loved ever since. I never understood what the Ghost Busters Sci-Fi movie is approaching that age, but I grew older I began to understand, this is a comedy, as well as being a serious film. a pity that his films do not use as much. I have not seen this film, make sure it or rent or buy the ghost busters anniversary DVD has a lot of extras. performance in the Ghost Busters Sci-Fi film is great, it has excellent talents as Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd, which adds to the comedy Ghost Busters film with his sarcastic comments and jokes. The soundtrack and special effects is very good for its time

Entertaining mix of laughs and scares in this memorable success in the 1980s that became a popular addition to the culture in the process. Three scientists and researchers (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis) are expelled from the university and decide to start their own business: the capture and imprison a variety of ghosts and demons that haunts the city of New York. It does not get better than this, folks. It has all the ingredients: good laughs (many of them a deadpan line spoken by Murray), good cast, good special effects, and a good rhythm. Perhaps not entirely politically correct in its inclusion of a "token black Ghostbuster (Ernie Hudson), but the sequel is actually more politically incorrect - see the scene (in the sequel) with Winston (Hudson) and the ghost of metro Train 'll see what I mean. Also veteran actor William Atherton launched into a long, endless streak of playing pompous, vain, pulling a white collar, his character, Walter Peck, EPA representative, must be the first instance of an ecologist who is presented as a villain I have seen . One of the best comedies of 1980, I give ten out of ten.

One of the best films of the eighties, Ghost Busters is one of those must watch movies. The special effects may be dated now, but the conviction and the comedy of the actors are still very much on par with today. Bill Murray one of the best and certainly the best Reitman. A job well done final. After receiving kicked out of school, three teachers to sell a house to get their money into "paranormal investigations and extermination!" Ghost Busters has not stood the test of time as have many other classics. What was original and had been beaten by so many imitators that it is difficult to give credit where it is due. We take for granted, but in essence it is all good. Ghost Busters is still a thumbs up.
