| The story is a great romantic comedy just a notch below Moulon Rouge or High Fidelity, and similar to Roxanne. There are a lot of jokes in the Californians, but I found the comedy accessible. The movie: L.A. Story is actually stronger in the romantic side, and has something to say about people who are a little fake and put up barriers to the world. As with Roxanne is a bit of classical literature dropped in. There are a few cheesy moments where the lack of sophistication of the characters and the plot shows. But there are also powerful, moving scenes, such as linking the fall in love with admiration and wonder of childhood, and the scene of the plane that brought tears to my eyes. And that is something quite, I almost never mourn at the movies! And, of course, I loved the music of Enya! Check it out. Who should see this film: - Romantic Comedy assistants, one must see - Movie action guys like myself, it's okay to see it with your SO (but if you can get to see your enemy in the door, too) I will give a history of Louisiana exceeded its original expectations, 9 out of 10. |
| I had seen 'The Story "several years ago and I only remember two things clearly - the scene in which he ordered all the different types of coffees, decafs, half-CAFS, and coffee with a touch of lemon, and the scene in which Sarah Jessica Parker jumps into the arms of Steve Martin. Everyone in the L.A. Story Comedy movie is perfectly cast, script, which is a travesty to fund the life of Los Angeles, is strong and resourceful, and everything comes together. Too many movies start very well, but do not know how to finish. This does not suffer from this disease. Well, entertaining movie! SPOILERS follow, you might want to choose to stop reading any word now. Martin is in a lackluster relationship with a woman (Henner) when she meets a beautiful British journalist in the city to do a story on Los Angeles. Martin is a crazy meteorologist, falls in love with the lady and the British, while stalled on the highway is a forum of road conditions starting to communicate with him, it helps to open the way to straighten your life, then start your car so you can get in their way. Meet Parker, spacy perfect valley girl, while buying a new pair of pants. He and the couple ends up in the motel room next to the British woman and her former husband, who remained in the "Chicken of the Sea 'motel. However, with the help of the lighting of road signs, which figures what to do and met with the British lady. |
| "A kiss may not be the truth, but that is what we were true." I have given this DVD film L.A. Story a 10-10 after seeing that for the umpteenth time. I have lived in Los Angeles and loved and lost in LA. I have had flings in LA, but have not yet done queue O 'The Pup or pink. And if you ever find a store in Melrose, where Harris and Sarah become little children and the stone lions bow their heads, I would never come and go. * Sigh * I'm a fan anyway Steve Martin, and a fan and Louisiana. The strange and wonderful, and love conquers all, they also resonate deeply within me. Sorry things did not work for Steve and Victoria IRL because of how much this DVD film L.A. Story touches me. I know it is 14 years old and were portrayed characters, but every time I watch them, how they communicate their growing relationship, and then flee from it, only to save time in the past, I amazed . Is becoming a period piece, but that does not tarnish in my eyes. If you want to delight in daffiness and devotion to 95 minutes, then do yourself a favor and watch LA Story:) |
