| This DVD movie Cold Creek Manor is certainly not what I expected. As someone wrote on this site, you expect to see a horror / suspense Cold Creek Manor Thriller movie The Haunting or The Others. This is not the case, the Cold Creek Manor movie is just a classic good / bad thriller. There is nothing new or fresh about this DVD movie Cold Creek Manor is not about much of it before you can guess the plot. The scene, which are supposed to be scary, not at all, because they have done so many times before. The casting and acting is good. Dennis Quaid is great, except perhaps by saying "Oh my God" too many times. He easily could have a much more demanding. The same goes for Stephen Dorff. Sharon Stone, but it seems very difficult to treat. Juliette Lewis is great as Dale Massie 'sexy girlfriend, but my question is: what are you doing here? It is not important for the history and does nothing else to look and act sexy. Perhaps your list for the audience to see something interesting. |
| This Cold Creek Manor film at first seems to be a fairly standard thriller with a few cheap thrills and shocks, but nothing amazing. But as the DivX film Cold Creek Manor goes on it becomes more taught and very interesting. I liked this movie. I felt that the pace of the Cold Creek Manor film was good and so was the action. Although the story has its minor problems, but intense and very detailed in the direction this Cold Creek Manor movie afloat, and keeps you on the edge of their seats. I thought that the end could have been better but it's Hollywood, so do not expect much. As I said the good performance and leadership are what makes this movie: Cold Creek Manor work. |
| OK, we've seen all these movies before, from family problems and life in the city for a new beginning in the country only to find more real problems and that they left behind. Unfortunately not only do well in this movie. It starts well and gives the impression that will translate into a kind of haunted mansion Cold Creek Manor Thriller movie when the family arrives at your new home. But what happens is far less exciting. Quaid gives another solid performance, but mild, Dorff is passable, but his character does not appear to be a threat, Lewis plays the type of paper that seems to fit like a glove. The only thing that I realized this Cold Creek Manor Thriller film is Sharon Stone has no impact or presence on the screen at all, I have had an impact on me when I was 15 and first saw Basic Instinct, but hey. She is one of the few actresses who actually advise only accept films with scenes of nudity involved. The location is only suitable, if it is a kind of attraction or sexual tension between Dorff and nature of stone, but because of the director or actors do not work at all. It is also sometimes very predictable, which is not a factor for a good thriller. The film: Cold Creek Manor has redeeming features is, at least you care enough to keep up the climax just to see what happens. It will not be an asset to revisit again soon. |
| Stupid horror film: Cold Creek Manor that was marketed as a supernatural mystery, but rather a silly tale of two cities deadly Slickers (Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone) who take their children out of New York City after a near-fatal car accident and buy a big house in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately for them, Dale, the former owner, left the jail and comes looking for them, eager to cover up a murderer who had been buried secretly in the house (or around it?) For years. Dennis Quaid is a documentary filmmaker and his wife does nothing but MOPE. As does everything in the house, which includes breakfast, she screams that you do too. Only one of many moments of laughter in this straight-to-video-style thriller that has a good distribution giving performances softened. They knew what they were getting into. The Cold Creek Manor Thriller is silly. This could have done a great supernatural thriller. That's what I thought was, anyway. 2 / 5 stars. - John Ulmer |
| Cold Creek Manor 2003 Ugh. Slow, slow witty. Misspelled. The most interesting character was the bad (Stephen Dorff) and he was the cookie-cutter as the rest. What happened to Dennis Quaid? I say. He acknowledged that from the beginning this DVD movie Cold Creek Manor was a failure. His performance in all the ranges of more than sleepwalking hysterical action. Sharon Stone has an excuse. She is not often accused of being a good actress or a choice of good films (although the living and the dead is one of my favorites of all time). Not that the story has plot holes. Probably not, but that is so mind numbingly boring that makes irrelevant. And that really is the Cardinal Sin of a movie, right? A DVD movie Cold Creek Manor may be bad, but entertaining (Plan 9 from outer space). A Cold Creek Manor Thriller movie may be offensive to the point where they do not want to see it, but well done. A Cold Creek Manor Thriller movie can be a flagrant insult is propaganda, but still maintain interest and create discussion. This Cold Creek Manor Thriller movie is so boring. |
