In 1988, a woman attends a school reunion with her three young children. Even when she arrives at the hotel, leaving a moment of distraction to his son missing media. 9 years later, still has not quite adjusted to the loss ... Instead of examining the impact of a kidnapped child the whole family, this unwisely focuses almost exclusively on the mother and the mother is played by Pfeiffer, all other characters become venues for their performance. With the odd exception, Pfeiffer tends to try too hard, especially in plays, and here is one example. Virtually every scene makes your order, your emotional state, their actions, their reactions. This quickly becomes tedious, especially as it asks us to accept that her husband has adjusted a lot healthier in the disappearance of the child, without being allowed to really know how or why. Thus, Williams is given little to do. Jackson fares better, but again it serves for most Pfeiffer to "act" and / or react. " Other characters are cardboard cut-out (wise-cracking, but difficult to call police, insensitive mother in law, two-dimensional best friend, etc.). This could have been a fascinating and heartbreaking at the loss and hope, but as a vehicle for Pfeiffer, who actually never moves beyond the TV Deep End of the Ocean, The Drama territory. |
I think I would have liked this Deep End of the Ocean, The Drama a lot more if I never read the book! If anyone of you have a chance, read the book! Oh, it's AWESOME! In my opinion, the Deep End of the Ocean, The Drama movie leaves some things have become much more interesting! Some people seem to think that parts of the film: Deep End of the Ocean, The are unrealistic, but when I read the book and get all the details and everything begins to be much more believable in the film. In addition, the older brother has a much larger role in the book, which makes more sense than the way in which he portrayed in the film. Anyway, I think we can say what I am trying to say is, READ THE BOOK! :-) |
I saw this film: Deep End of the Ocean, The on HBO a few years ago, and although I have seen so far Sam again, I seemed to be a wonderful movie. Recently I saw this DVD film Deep End of the Ocean, The again, and I thought the DVD film Deep End of the Ocean, The was just so great in the second hearing. That's because the DivX Movie Deep End of the Ocean, The is not about history, but of human emotions, which are not dependent on a plot. This does not mean that there is no story or plot here. Indeed, history is something that anyone can identify with ... Losing someone you love ... and find all over again. The director does not use cheap hysterics or drama to make you feel that the loss of the family, especially through the mother goes. There are scenes in the Deep End of the Ocean, The Drama that I was moved to tears. Not to say that this is a hold. On the contrary, it has some genuinely uplifting moments to it. I am such a strong 10/10. See this movie! You will not regret. |
Ulu Grosbard has directed this superb adaptation of adult theater's best-selling novel by Jacquelyn Mitchard. Michelle Pfeiffer and Treat Williams portray Beth and Pat Cappadora, parents of three young people. On a trip to your high school reunion, Beth loses her son three years in a crowded hotel lobby. The child is absent from the family of nine years, after which it is surprisingly returned to his family. This is only the skeleton of the plot. However, it is the moving of all the directors that beyond the television movie: Deep End of the Ocean, The of the week sound of the plot. Michelle Pfeiffer adds another performance to move its gallery of roles. If the DivX film Deep End of the Ocean, The was released in fall 1998 as originally planned, which could have had an Academy Award nomination. Treat Williams role is less defined, but is always a pleasure to see this sub-sub-used and appreciated actor. However, it's Jonathan Jackson and Ryan Merriman as the eldest son and the loss of this guy who makes this kind of theater emotionally satisfying. Whoopi Goldberg adds humor to the serious action needed as the detective assigned to the case. Stephen Schiff, a writer for the New Yorker, has done a poor adaptation of the novel. Grosbard directed unpretentiously this fine cast. "The End of the deep ocean is one of the best works of contemporary theater in a while to come. |
THE END OF THE OCEAN LIFE **** Jacqueline Mitchard's bestselling Tearjerker has joined this sincere, emotional movie: Deep End of the Ocean, The about the loss of a loved one, going over problems from which point, and finally , experiencing a saving grace. Ulu Grosbard cast is exquisite, with Michelle Pfeiffer playing the mother of three children who attend a high school reunion, and the youngest son accidentally lost. A search for the boy had not done every week, until our family had to face facts that he was not coming home. But the most unexpected happens around nine years later, when a child comes to cutting the grass, which the family believes it is the long-lost son. Treat Williams is great as the man to lean on the husband who wants to do the right thing. Whoopi Goldberg adds a nice touch as Detective Bliss. In the midst of his interesting topic, emphasizes the dynamic character - how the players respond to each other through the horrible circumstances, to reach a place of mutual forgiveness and comfort each other and themselves. One of the most rewarding films I've seen lately. |
I've never heard of the deepest oceans of the cable until it appeared the other night. Every time I saw him, I thought it was a Deep End of the Ocean, The film made for cable. Fairly good results - I think some of the other respondents fell hard in this film. Overall, not my type of DivX Movie Deep End of the Ocean, The (chicken emotional / family movie), but I was pleasantly surprised, but I have to say yes "Channel Life" feel to it. 7 / 10 stars |
