Astrid Magnussen is a 15 year old girl, living in California. Her mother, Ingrid, is a beautiful, free-spirited poet. Their life, though unusual, is satisfying until one day, a man named Barry Kolker (that her mother refers to at first as 'The goat man') comes into their lives, and Ingrid falls madly in love with him, only to have her heart broken, and her life ruined. For revenge, Ingrid murders Barry with the deadly poison of her favourite flower: The White Oleander. She is sent to prison for life, and Astrid has to go through foster home after foster home. Throughout nearly a decade she experiences forbidden love, religion, near-death experiences, drugs, starvation, and how it feels to be loved. But throughout these years, she keeps in touch with her mother via letters to prison. And while Ingrid's gift is to give Astrid the power to survive, Astrid's gift is to teach her Mother about love.

Michelle Pfeifer sizzles as Ingrid, a hard-to-put-on-a-kind single-sentence raising the woman's daughter Astrid only in Los Angeles, when the world as we know that love is forever obstructed in dress walks in. This is not obstruction Ingrid manners, mannerisms, and the madness that is the jail sentence for murder, obstruction at issue here is her lover, played by Billy Connolly annoyingly perfect, and I mean that the life of me, no one knows when it fell. She is perfect without it. Although she is in prison, Ingrid discusses the nature of us once again to the outside world in the form of the lovely Renee Zellwegger, but at least we can see why "she" fell by Noah Wyle (actor who plays her husband ). Anyway, the White Oleander Drama is about the relationship with his daughter Ingrid and Astrid Astrid how life changes from the age of 12 to 20, while his mother is in jail. The actress who plays Astrid is phenomenal in this role is incredibly valuable and commendable Pfeiffer hot as Ingrid, the true white oleander! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up! : D

This excellent White Oleander Drama film follows Astrid through a series of foster homes after her mother is in prison for murder. As goes from home to home, he learns some different each time, changing his identity. She visits her mother once in a while and every time you visit, she is someone else. Astrid used to create the home of art experiences in different bags, and each is where he lived. I loved this movie, because of the constant changes through Astrid and how she takes care of everything on your own life. I've never lived in a foster home, but after seeing this movie, I can see how difficult it might be to adopt an identity. The performance and the artwork are the bulk of the film. Take this movie!

Without expectations of something beyond the average is aware that I saw this White Oleander Drama film it was a quality more than most movies available today. We left quite stunning and setbacks in the light of day in the celebration. Devastatingly slow and totally comprehensive, was never insulted the intelligence of the audience, the depth of the characters, plot and script uniformly implemented without space for anything, but knowing that the audience were in for something special. Do not expect black and white conclusions or answers, only the complex dynamics between the family and others. . . Brilliantly cast. I hope Michelle Pfieffer won his first Oscar here. .. Comparable to American Beauty, I do not know why - but not touching, beautiful, true and important. Soundtrack and beautiful view, the perfect pace.

This was an excellent film, very emotional and moving.Michelle Pfeiffer looks more like she belongs in a beauty contest in prison. We still did a good job with Ingrid, however. However, Renée Zellweger, who steals the show with its image of Claire Richards, the adoptive mother suicidal. This is a different role for her. This shows that it can act in dramas as well as the thriller and comedy. Allison Lohmann was very convincing in his role as Astrid, that I believe this is his first major film.This is a great film, but a girl is more of a DivX Movie White Oleander that 'all' movie. Moreover, not to see this White Oleander movie if you are in the mood to be cheered up lol, but since this is a great White Oleander Drama is not very happy:)
