An elderly Jewish widow living in Atlanta can no longer drive. Her son insists she allow him to hire a driver, which in the 1950s meant a black man. She resists any change in her life but, Hoke, the driver is hired by her son. She refuses to allow him to drive her anywhere at first, but Hoke slowly wins her over with his native good graces. The movie is directly taken from a stage play and does show it. It covers over twenty years of the pair's life together as they slowly build a relationship that transcends their differences.

This Driving Miss Daisy film has taken on new meaning for me after seeing it for the third time. The tender loving care of Mr. Morgan Freeman character leaves me totally disarmed for words. Her sensitive acting in the role of the driver of a cranky old, showing little appreciation for a faithful servant and tolerant Although the nature of Morgan Freeman has shown low tolerance throughout his life, showing love and affection for this lady that he has been denied. It is captivated by her granddaughter and her talents. This assessment is demonstrated in his own people, not by white society. Her character has risen above this intolerance. His long lasting innate goodness, the human race can develop when above their station in life. The final scene is devastating. This can only be performed by two actors who have risen above their peers. Can I come over intolerance and strength of these two people? That is what the author has left us with.

This Driving Miss Daisy Comedy movie has to be one of the great treasures of the movie. Every time I look, I'm really excited for her gentle and simple message of kindness and understanding. I know Jessica Tandy won the Oscar for his portrayal, and she deserved it, but Morgan Freeman was excellent and have won an Oscar as well. If Mr. Freeman is not one of the best players on planet Earth who do not know who is ... PLEASE! Ask yourself a favor and see this Driving Miss Daisy Comedy film ...

A blend of drama and comedy with great acting is the best way to summarize the movie. Containing the sassy attitude of Miss Daisy (Tandy), with the joyful spirit of his driver Hoke (Freeman). The plot is good and is not one of those dramas really depressing - in fact its funny in many places. All actors in this Driving Miss Daisy movie were great, especially Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman. Tandy won Best Actress for her performance, and I think Freeman should have a best actor award. Beware!
